Yes, NASA totally released a trailer for the upcoming Mars launch

July 30. Mark your calendars. That’s when we’re going back to Mars.

NASA released what I can only describe as a trailer for the upcoming July 30 launch. The minute-long, animated rundown sums up the whole mission in a neat, easy-to-digest package. You’ll learn the new rover’s name (Perseverance), its landing location (Jezero Crater), its mission, and its traveling companion – a helicopter named Ingenuity.

Sure, most of us are more interested in space than usual these days because planet Earth is so very messed up. But space is fun. Rocket launches are fun. Good job on getting the hype up, NASA.
